Dr. Rachael Yvonne Davis was born in Fort Worth, Texas to loving parents who although they are no longer together, continue to support her as a unit without fail. Rachael was raised by many hands; Being a member of the historic Mt. Gilead Baptist Church community and the Greater Saint Stephens First Baptist church family, she cites this as certainly being a blessing for her upbringing. She attended school in Fort Worth and went on to receive the Community Scholar Scholarship, TRIO Programs, and Ronald E. McNair Grants/Fellowships at Texas Christian University where she double majored in Psychosocial Kinesiology, Health & Fitness, and minored in Business.  Rachael has progressed to work toward an MBA in Sport and Entertainment Management at the University of Dallas and graduated with a Master of Science in Entertainment Business at Full Sail University. August 31, 2022, she successfully defended her dissertation and earned a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) with a focus on Global Operations and Supply Chain Management.

Rachael has a big-picture outlook and was left with a firm understanding of evidenced-based science and practice all the while viewing her studies, knowledge gained, and work through a values-based lens. Various internships in sports management and special event planning have given Rachael a broad understanding of the sports industry and have helped to enhance industry-specific special event, player relations, marketing, and management skills.

She has worked for The Dallas Arboretum & Botanical Gardens, Marriott International, Reebok, the Dallas Mavericks, TCU Athletics Marketing, game day operations for ESPN’s Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl and worked as event staff for the NCAA 2010 Rifle Championships. Rachael also worked as TCU Career Services Employer Relations Intern for Recruitment and as a Resident Assistant for TCU Residential Services.  Remaining active and volunteering her time in the community is paramount. Other clients and projects include The Designers Choice Fashion Preview benefiting the Timmons Arts Foundation, 10 Shades of Success an event honoring women at the Rosewood Cresent Hotel, Accessories In the Nude (AIN) designer competition and fashion show, The Beryl Institute Patient Experience Conference, Enticing Objects Home Décor, United Way World Wide - #TeamNFL, DJ Spinderella, Delonte West, Radio Personalities and a host of MUAs, stylists, entrepreneurs, and music entertainment professionals.

As a youth, Rachael was very active in gymnastics, dance, basketball, and softball. When she was four years old she started playing the piano but was unable to continue due to a lack of funding. Knowing the impact that sports and music has had on her life, seeing the impact it has had on her family, and those around her increases the drive to provide those resources and opportunities to others who simply cannot afford the instruments and tools to develop their talents.

During her lifetime, Rachael has had a plethora of challenges and unless asked, she chooses not to dwell on those experiences but instead appreciates the springboard those trials provided to catapult her to higher levels. Her first semester back to TCU from a nearly life-taking car accident reaffirmed her passions and sharpened her desire to own and operate her own businesses in Sports and Entertainment. Having since survived multiple accidents have caused Rachael to be more valiant and enterprising in spirit and heart.

Miss Texas Plus America 2013 and Miss New York Plus America 2014 are a couple of the titles that Rachael has held and she has her sights most certainly on more. Her 2013 platform was “Surrender to Care: Mobilizing a Renaissance of Caring Adults and Youth to become Architects of Peace, Hope and Encouragement in our Global Community”. In 2014, Rachael was awarded the 2014 Empowerment Award: For Exemplary Leadership, Inspiration and Selfless acts of Time and Dedication.

“When my body expires on this plane if I can be remembered at all I would simply want to be known as someone who left a mighty legacy. It is my hope that my essence engulfs all those I am around and that I leave them with hope, encouragement, and empowerment. That they feel the true manifestation of God’s love in and through me. No matter what your belief system all people can benefit from such hope, such encouragement, and such love. I seek to transform lives for the better and these are the inspirations and driving force behind all that I do.” – Rachael Yvonne Davis
